So i'd like to talk abut the pre ship logbook times. Why Coconut Kingdom? Being a scuba diver since 2002 and and instructor in the past 4 years helped me alot to choose. I'd lie if i saf i wouldn't want to live here with the amazing beaches and nice nature surrounded. So in the past 4 years i was looking for so many possibilities. I even got some nice ones, like one company from Koh Tao asked me to join and be an underwater videographer and instructor, Which was like: AMAZING. But i did not take it. I had no money, and actually due to the 2 main seasons here normally people come and go so the centers have no time to make the official working stuff for you, So you rather can take internships or choose the "darker" side, Then i've found some intresting stuff. There was a nice company looking for swim teachers. Well, being a Swim teacher/Coach was a good idea to make also, i guess. So they actually aksed me to join the team but i had some family issues that time so i had to say no for the first time. So a year later what a surprise they were still looking for teachers, so last year mid november we made an agreement and the company asked me to join them as soon as i can. I could manage everything (visa, vaccines, tickets) in 2 weeks cause of my best friend Dominic and my family. So what do you feel, once you have xour ticket and visa and the only thing you got to do is to wait? I had this before when i was living in Malta. So what i do? I am trying to get as much information about local stuff and people, culture as i can. I am googling the streets, checking where will be my apartment, and the workplace, thanks the street view it ain't bad if you have time. So i was not really afraid altough i have never ever been to Thailand before. I just aways wanted to taste the culture and make a living here. Dont ask me why. Might be because of the culture, the amazing nature, or smomething else. Yeah of course it is never easy to move to the other side of the world especially full alone, where you have nobody literally, But it depends on the personality for sure. Be open minded, respect the culture and people wherever you go. You'll be always a visitor there, even if you settle for years.
So back to the topic. I was not afraid moving here, i was too excited. You know when you have 2 weeks left literally nothing to do just wait. The time when you are already ready to move immediately if you could.
Then the family stuff. Which of course never easy, but never forget to spend enough time with them. Once you on the plane all good, all fine. couple hours then you arrive to the paradise. Already inhale some good 35 degree, full humid air which you love and stare thousands of "skyscrapers" all the time with palm trees sourrunded which grows like potato in your origin country. What a stuff. So you already there, but still cant believe this is real, this is happening right now, Cannot be thankful enough to the support you got but you know that you made a good decision. For sure. And afeter 9 months you still love and dont want to leave, tells everything. Coconut! :)
